I got the miralax yesterday, Jackie and started giving it to him as soon as I got back home. I'll probably give it in the morning since he is easier to handle at that time. You still give your mother the stool softeners? I do have colace, think I should maybe give thase also?

The news on my brother isn't good. The cat scan showed that the cancer has spread through out his entire bode. Spots on his ribs, several in the pelvic region, the lung, right next to the heart, the spine, the thyroid, just everywhere.
I have Bill set up for respite for the 18th and I am praying that isn't too late. My niece will call after talking to the doctor at noon today. She will ask about how much time he may have. I don't know what I'll do if the 18th proves too late, I'll just do what I can if I have too. My sister said we could just put Bill in the car and go. Don't think that would work the way he is right now.
I did tell my niece to get hospice involved Right Now. She is worried that her dad will think he's dying. I told her not to even mention the word if she was concered, just tell him the doctor sent these people to help her. I hope she listens to me.

I'll be back when I here more.

Oh, I forgot I got more news yesterday. My neighbor, of 35 years, passed away on Monday. I'm beginning to wonder what is going on. It's one thing after another.

I could sure use a few prayers right now.

Latest report on my brother is less than six months. I'll be going to Ga. a week from tomorrow. I feel so, I guess I can't come up with a word to describe how I feel. Guess I might as well stop writing.

Joyce, I just don't know what to say other than that I am sorry. I don't think I could deal with all you are going through right now. My prayers are with you and your family.

Oh Joyce,

I'm so very sorry to hear the bad news about your brother. I know you must be devasted. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Yes, I do still give Mom the stool softeners. I have the generic colace and I give her two at bedtime. The doctor said to continue the colace also. Her rectum is so stretched, that she really does need that extra lubrication so she doesn't have to push much. You may want to check with the doctor, but at this point it can't do any harm. Mom will always have to stay on the Miralax and the stool softeners as she will probably always be constipated, so I imagine Bill will be the same.

And again, so very sorry about your brother. We're here for you Joyce.

Jackie

Jackie,
The miralax worked. The senokotS probably had something to do with it also. Maybe when he gets regulated I can cut down on the senokot. Thanks for the suggestion.
I never thought I'd be so glad to clean up poop.

You've got em' Joyce. Poor thing, too, too, too much. You are a very strong, and kind-hearted woman.
