I'm here Crella, how about you? I know you're around because I just read some of your responses.

Hope the phone calls have ended.

Yes, they have, for the time being at least. I will try and talk to her son, though. Being a caregiver at a nursing home, he must realize that his Mum has a problem.

You would think so, but for some reason we tend to deny that our LO could have a problem as long as we possibly can.

Have a good day with Mom.

I have the tail end of the flu, so I can't see her until Friday. I'm waiting as long as I can. She wants to see me, but at least she understands if I remind her that I could make her sick. We have a Buddhist holiday on Friday, it's custom to go to the cemetery and pray, I am planning on taking her.

I know what you mean. It took my husband the longest time to admit his mother had a problem, it literally took over a year. He finally got it when she turned one of her belligerent episodes on him. She had previously hidden that behavior from him, and was sweet as pie to her home helpers too, so I was the only one seeing it, which is why I knew how bad things were, I guess. He was shocked when she began calling us at 2, 3 in the morning screaming her head off on the phone, getting dressed and calling a taxi to come over and scream at us in person. I spent much more time with her and saw it coming. Poor DH.

K's son may be somewhat the same, he works full time and basically sees his mother at dinnertime. I hope he has an inkling though, I hope I don't anger him. I will just have to be super-tactful.

You'll do fine Crella.
I hope you're feeling better real soon. I'm glad Mom understands why you can't visit her.
