:D Hope you all have a great day with your loved one and family. Another year is almost gone and alot of changes have taken place, some good some not, but; in everything I have to remind myself that there are still blessings and wonderful memories. Each one is a little different but one to put in the treasured box for later. Enjoy, eat lots, and thank God for one more day.

Linda,

Happy Thanksgiving also to you and yours. Hopefully all of our treasure boxes will be filled with many joys.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my forum friends. May you have a wonderful calm day, and our loved ones have a little laughter in their hearts that day.

Awwww, pretty Snickers, thanks for that. Yes, many changes this year. Last night when daughter and I went to see my mom she was asleep in bed. I woke her since last time I didn't and it made her mad. I hugged her in her bed and ended up laying my head down on her chest for a time. She called me "My baby." Gulp, yes precious memories to cherish.

Happy Thanksgiving to all,

~Kelly~

Snicks,

What a beautiful picture. Thanks for brightening up the forum today.

Kelly,

Awww - so very cute and heartwarming. I sure wish that would happen to me one day. Seems like my memories are going to be ones of mom being as stubborn as can be, and me loosing my patience cause my knee and back hurt so darn bad. Oh well, I'm hoping that will change. Tonight I came down from putting mom to bed, and got so mad as she gave me a hard time, that I told my husband, that's it, she's going in a home!! Boy, what a way for me to create memories huh?

Happy turkey day, all. I hope those of you who are still caregiving get through the day with as little drama as possible. The thing I am grateful for is that I am at an age where the younger people in my family have taken over the cooking. :)

This will be the first big holiday without Old Navy, but I will remain thankful that he lived a full life, and was loved by many, many people.

This is my 2nd Thanksgiving without mom, and along with the tears this year came smiles and some of my earliest childhood memories of Thanksgiving and helping mom make pies. My job every year was to mix the pumpkin while mom rolled out the crust, and then I always snuck a taste of the mixture to make sure it was just right. And mom pretended not to notice...... :D

Happy Thanksgiving to all my forum friends and family. May your day be full of good food, good company, and many fond memories to cherish.

May we each experience this Thanksgiving with our hearts filled with love for those still with us and for the memories of those watching over us. As I give thanks, I will keep each of you in my thoughts and prayers. I am thankful you have touched my life.

Happy Thanksgiving, my friends,

Joyce

Kelly,

I am so glad that you still have some tender moments with your mom. Those are the ones we need to remember.

Jackie,

I know what you mean but we are only human. Enjoy your day tomorrow.

And again, Happy Thanks giving everyone on the forum.

P.S. someone teach me how to put those great pictures in the messages.

Linda.

Hi everyone, I'm 'same as you,' caring for my mother (Stage 6) at home going on seven years now. I'm thankful to have found you!

Yesterday Mom was a bit upset with my hubbub in the kitchen. She's never cared for eggnog but I thought I'd give it a try. She said, "Mmmmm, this medicine is good!" Ah, yes, it was! At least today I'll be confident in increasing the milligrams. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!
