Just wanted to tell everyone that I am glad so many of my friends are here now.. and I hope each of you have a good weekend..

BF and I usually try to do at least one date night on the weekend, during football season we try to go to a local High School Football game (neither of us have anyone in high school we just love to watch them play), but since the weather here has been cool and rainy (day 5) and I have been battling pneumonia yet again.. it probably wouldn't be a good idea for me to get out and sit in the damp cool weather.. so we decided to do date day tomorrow.. So I got the sitter lined up and we will have 5 hours of not laundry or poop duty..

Yipeeeeeee looking forward to that..

Be safe and have a good weekend..

Denise,
I remember you saying at one time that you do date night. So my husband and I have also started doing that. Thanks for that idea! My sister comes over and sits with Mom and we go to dinner or just out. We don't do it weekly, but enough to get a little time to ourselves. And of course if we have something planned, like a party or a wedding, then we skip date nite, as use that nite as date nite. Have a wonderful weekend, and please watch the pneumonia. That could really get serious.

Love,
jackie

Hope you get to feeling better soon, Denise, and enjoy your date night, too! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary the other night, and just getting out for a couple of hours or so was like a mini-vacation. :)

Wishing everybody a good weekend. :D

Mom and I went out for dinner with my brother and his family tonight, it was great. Rest of weekend will be the usual, but we are getting ready to go to LAS VEGAS BABY on 11/4 and mom's very excited.

I won't have to work the whole week we'll be gone, which is by itself a vacation. I can't remember the last time I had a day where I didn't work.

Judy, have a wonderful time in Vegas. That was Helen's favorite place and November 4th was her birthday.

OH! WOW, MAYBE SHE WILL SEND ME SOME LUCK!

I knew she liked gambling because you guys always went to the casino. I am going to be thinking of her that day then...maybe she'll send me a little Hello from Heaven! :D

I never have any trouble with mom in the casinos; of course we stay on Fremont Street and I stay right with her to keep an eye on her things and make sure she gets her tickets from the machine when she's done using it.
