Hi everyone,

I stopped in to check on what's going on and wanted to let you all know that I'm still around.
I'm trying to stay dry and warm. it's been in the high 50s low 60s and rainy for the last four days. My daughter and her family are here for the week so they are intertaining me.

It was Bill's birthday the 30th and they helped me get through that. July 7 would have been our 47th anniversary and they will help me that day also.

My biggest help for that day will be a visit from Lori. I am anxiously awaiting to get to meet her. Hope she likes the great outdoors and doesn't expect to go to the mall while she's here. Maybe she can drive a tractor or use the chain saw.

Hope everyone is doing ok and I will continue checking in when I can.

Love you all and miss talking to you on a daily basis. Take care

Joyce,
Lori is not the mall type, but you should see what she does with a tractor and a chain saw! Watch out, she has her work gloves with her and her "Simple Green". She's been "greening" my whole house!

I suppose I'm going to have to let her come and see you, but I am protesting. She is not one to let go easily. Oh, and just to tell you, if she tells you you cook really good, don't believe her, as she told me I'm the best!!!

Jackie

Love the outdoors, hate the mall, never used a chainsaw or driven a tractor. A tractor might be fun but I think I'll leave the chainsaw to you. :)

You don't even have to worry about feeding me Joyce because Jackie has fattened me up enough to last quite awhile. I should warn you though that I take notes on everyone I visit. :o

Oh my goodness, Lori will freeze to death in your weather. She's used to over 100 degrees this time of year!

When she leaves you, Joyce, she's headed for my house (Arlington, VA). I'm stocking up on Simple Green and ingredients for scalloped potatoes. That ought to keep her happy, along with the grandson's who she loves to play with. ;-}

It's a Godsequence that she's arriving on what could be a difficult day for you. Enjoy each other, as I know you will.

Lori, how are you heading out from Joyce's place? Will you be coming down M-127 to I-94? If so, you'd be within a few miles of my place on M-60.

Gee Deb, I'm not sure how I go. I just plug in my GPS (her name is Rhonda) and go where she tells me. I'm sure Joyce will know if I'll be near you. I'm assuming that she has your number. I'd love to stop any see you if you have the time.

Everyone in the Detroit area,
I have to come back down state on July 17th and I'm hoping that Lori will be riding down with me. If I can manage to convince her into doing that, maybe we could all meet for lunch on Sat. the 18th. That way she can meet everyone at once and we could have a mini family reunion. I would suggest Frankenmuth, but I'm not sure if everyone can make it there. Maybe at my house there and we can introduce Lori to Pasties.
I can only stay down thery for a couple of days because my two Chicago grandkids will be coming there and then they'll be coming back here for a couple of weeks.

Lori,
You don't have to use the chain saw and I'm going to get my daughter on the tractor today to cut the grass before you get here. Of course even with the cold weather, the grass, or I should say weeds, are still growing so it will need it again. I may even let you drive the tractor if it needs cutting again. I have no plans on intertainment other than sitting on the deck as looking at the trees, but I'm sure we'll find things to do. Maybe a drive to the Mackinac Bridge. I won't drive across it, but it is quite a sight to see. If we don't have any plans, then we can do whatever we want.

I'll see you tomorrow. A lot of cooking outside if the weather permits. It's warming up, now up to almost 70. Didn't check this morning, but yesterday it was below 40 when I checked at 8 am. Just so it doesn't rain I have enough sweat shirts to keep even a California girl warm.

Detroit Ladies,
Let me know about getting together on the 18th. I'll be checking back here before too many days. You can call me on my cell phone, I think most of you have the number. If you need my number here, send me an email and I'll send it to you.

I should be available!

Lori, if you go up I-75, I am right off the #84A exit. Don't do this but, if, when you pass the deserted truck weigh station on the right, you were to look to the right, you can see our house. At least we used to be able too, if the trees are not too tall now! If you need a potty break, or to stretch your legs, let me know!
