Thanks for being so on top of things, Aitan.
For the first time it happened to me tonight when
I opened the sight, and before logging on... anti-virus
protection went into some kind of "search & destroy"
mode--I just rolled my eyes, closed it, opened ADCaregiver,
and went on with life. Didn't think anything of it until this
thread.

I'm not getting anything inappropriate either. Don't leave me out either. Inappropriate would sure brighten my day a bit.

The email wasn't from this site. Sorry for the confusion. I should have clarified.

The one strange thing I am getting is a popup every once in a while to download Adobe and I already have that on my PC. Otherwise no problems here.

All this inappropriate email talk makes me think of the time, years ago, when a neighbor got an obscene phone call. When she got the call, she got all excited and started talking to the caller. Saying things like: "Is this an obscene call? I've never gotten an obscene call before, All my friends have gotten one, but I never have. I'm so glad you called. Now I can tell them that I got one, too." She didn't stop talking until the called hung up on her.

She still doesn't know when to stop talking, but she's a good neighbor.

Somthing is definitely going on with this site..........

3 times I have clicked to post a reply and each time my computer has been redirected to another website
1)Fallen Sword
2)Surfing of Videos
3)Blogs.smacchat

Also, the malicious script alerts concerned a trojan: Exploit-MS06-014
and another trojan: generic Artemis

Don't know if these specifics help you get to the bottom of this but its making me very leery of signing into the forum. It's also very aggravating to constantly be redirected.

By the way, I do have a pop-up blocker and these are slipping past it.

I had a very vicious attack on my computer by various trojan horses about 6 weeks ago. I was notified of the most vicious one when I visited this website. My boyfriend the computer geek says it is unusual to get viruses/trojans/etc from a website, but with all of us having similar experiences, it can't just be a coincidence. I ended up having to pay for and download a completely new program to get them cleaned up and off the system (AVG didn't catch them all). It took nearly two weeks of almost daily scans for the entire system to be cleared.

Hi everyone. I emailed the people who run the forum and they told me that their servers are secured, so there couldn't be anything going out from the site which is on their server. However, if there is anything external like pop-ups those may cause trojans or adware if you click on them, so if you see them don't even hit the X on the box just click ALT-F4. The email problem turned out to be spam that looked at addresses in the whitelist of the user's address book and copied the adcaregiver name and added some letters to it, something like this... zlfj34-adcaregiver.com, so that it went to the inbox because it recognized adcaregiver. Anyways, thankfully no viruses have hacked the system and we are still clean. If you're having any problems with your computer I recommend downloading spybot, I use it once a day and it's free to download on download.com.
