Hi Kathy! I just replied on the other intro
thread, so won't repeat all of that here.
Just want to say I'm glad you're here!

Kathy, welcome again. I love your new name. I keep thinking about how they always say if you are lost just follow the north star. What a great name for dealing with this disease.

Hello everyone:
My name is Louise, I'm a 63 y.o. retired RN caring for my 87 y.o. widowed Mother, who is in 5 or 6th stage AD. Not really sure. My Mother lives with me and my husband (also reitred) in our home.
My life has become pretty much these four walls with quick trips to the store or post-office and of course, doctor appointments. Things are bad in a lot of ways, yet I know they could be worse.
Please allow me to vent, ask for support and try to give some support too.
I can't seem to do anything except worry and feel totally exhausted, frustrated, fearful and , at times, even a little resentful and a lot ashamed for it.

Hi Everybody!

I'm Marcie. AKA--- Marcie Mouse at the Alz board. My Mama has Lewy body dementia with AD. Mom, is now living at the most wonderful assisted living that is beyond what I could have wished for her. I'm so glad to finally join this forum--thank you Jane, for the lead. It is so great to see so many familiar friends here. I look forward to meeting new friends as well. I hope that there isn't certain "quota " that has to be met here, [as far as posting... ahum, ahum!] as like many of you, life is unpredictable and I may not post as often as I would like to. However, I do pray for all those who are caring for AD loved ones and those who have LO's with AD. When someone you know, and love, has AD, it is a life changing event. And for better or for worse, God be with us all.

Peace,
Marcie

Words to live by:

I Then Shall Live
By Gloria Gaither

I then shall live
as one whose been forgiven
I'll walk with with joy
to know my debts are paid
I know my name is clear before my Father
I am His child and I am not afraid
So greatly pardoned, I'll forgive my brother
the law of love, I gladly will obey
I then shall live
as one whose learned compassion
I 've been so loved, that I'll risk loving too
I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges
I'll dare to see another's point of view
and when relationships demand commitment
then, I'll be there to care and follow through
Your Kingdom come around and through and in me
Your power and glory let them shine through me
Your hallowed Name, O, may I bear with honor
and may your living Kingdom come, in me
the Bread of Life, O, may I share with others

And may You feed the hungry world through me.....

Amen!

Oh Marcie Mouse and Louise, our little village here is
enriched by your presence. Welcome, and God Bless!
Carol
P.S. Don't forget to check out Creative Outlet and visit
the "Garden of Friendship" where you can name your
favorite flower and it will magically be planted for you
or go to Hope Village where SkyGirl is building houses
made-to-order. There are other wonderful threads
there that have become soothing, calming, and
often over-the-top funny places to rest your bones.
