Well, they've just issued a winter storm watch for Sunday night, into Monday!
6-10 inches of snow!!!

Midwesterners, Northeasters, and Southerners, watch your forecasts! Thunderstorms are forecasted(in warmer areas) as well as snow.
The West seems like it's going to be quiet.

...and that's your report for now....

Let us know how it goes for everyone!

What else is new Deb? After all it's only April. I don't count on continued warm weather until July and even that is questionable sometimes. Remember we do live in Michigan.

This morning has started out sunny and calm but we both know that can change at the drop of a dime. It was beautiful here yesterday. Two days in a row is a bit much to ask.
From what I'm seeing o the weather, it looks like the snow will be North of me. We're supposed to be in the high 40's so it's hard to imagine snow. Whatever we get, we know that it isn't going to stay around too long.

Why don't you and hubby stop by the next time you're over this way? How is your mother doing? Is Edna still her room mate and how is she doing? I keep telling myself that I am going for a visit but so far I haven't made it. Hopefully soon.

OOPS, just saw where the snow is not going to be here until Monday, now. OH WELL, I'm not going any where so guess it doesn't really make any difference for me.

Joyce, I was just telling DH that I hadn't been over to see my Mom since Christmas, so we are overdue in visiting both you and Mom.

As far as Mom is concerned, she's holding her own. Still likes to read her romance novels, and watches all the sports when they are on the tv channels that she can receive.

Well, the time here is 9:28 p.m. and it's raining outside but the weather channel shows it changing over to snow within the next couple of hours. I have 2 clients tomorrow. Thankfully, I have enough time between to be able to grab some lunch and still deal with the roads and weather.

Joyce, would it be safe for me to bring my little dog, Holly? I'm planning on bringing her to meet Mom. Mom cannot remember that we told her that Panda (our other dog is dead. :o

Mundee,
I think my house is dog proof. Sandra has three of them and she brings them over. She has two labs and a yorkie, so I can handle all sizes. My sister brings her 2.5 lb pom over, too. The hard wood floors gives the pon problems so she, the pom, never leaves the blanket that I put on the floor for her.
Holly is welcome. You can come, too.

I am glad I have nowhere to go today!! Looks like the middle of winter.
Joyce, you are right, it should not surprise me. We have had some big snowfalls in April.

Sky,
Don't you measure snowfall with a yardstick??

We got about three inches here, but it is all clear on the roads, driveway and sidewalks. It will all be gone by tomorrow probably. If not, I'm sure it'll disappear Wed. when the temp. is going into the 50's.

We got about 8, I think. Some of it has melted already.
Can't wait for our next warm-up.

I was an absolute GLORIOUS Day today in the Rockies! It was hard to come inside, or be inside, and yes, we will have more snow. I usually break out all my patio furniture, put up the umbrella, etc, but now, I know better. I did have the Sun-Roof open, and the windows down. It just barely made it up to 60, so I guess this California kid, has aclimated!

I hate to sound like a broken record, but "Global Warming" is alive, & well. It does make it snow at the beach, and be way too hot, in the northern climates. Snow melts too fast, and causes severe flooding (I have pictures!) Just today, they showed that a big chunk of the Polar-Ice-Shelf, broke off, and that most of the Ice is way too thin. The Polar Bears are threatened by Instinction, and I happen to 'like' Polar Bears!

What ever we can do, to stop our dependence on fosil fuels, or foriegn oil, would be good. I drive a big ol' gas hog, but the next car I get, will be a Hybrid. They will "ALL" be making them soon, so it will be fun to choose.

So, now I will get off of my Soap-Box, but "Global Warming" is REAL, and I believe, Man-Made.

I am glad that you guys in Michigan didn't get pounded to bad with snow. It got really cold here (below freezing but no snow thank goodness. At least the little flowers and stuff that have started to grow and bloom didn't meet get harmed. We should be back into the 70's by tomorrow here so this weather rollercoaster is really rumbling along!!!! Going from shorts to long johns and back to shorts in a matter of 3 days is killing my sinus' ha ha

The last time I was in Michigan it was at the end of April and I almost froze to death!!!!! ha ha The sun was shining and everyone from there was wearing t-shirts and light jackets.. I was wearing a heavy coat.. ha ha It was 40 degrees for crying out loud!! ha ha

Maybe you guys will warm up soon!!!!!!!

Oh and Sky: I was joking about the global warming!!!!! I am very aware of the fact that it does exist and that it is man made! Oh and BTW we do own a hybrid car.. so at least in our house we do try to our part.. Oh and I like Polar Bears too!!!!!

It looks like Christmas here in Ontario. We have about three inches of snow. Kids were making snowballs on their way to school this morning. They looked like they were having so much fun.
I worry about global warming too. I put in geothermal heating last year and bought a Smart car.

We had over 6 inches of snow yesterday. We had more problems with the heavy snow breaking trees and taking out the power than with the stuff on the ground!

My poor little dog wasn't sure if she wanted to go outside when her little world went from green, growing things to snow deeper than she is tall! Poor little thing... being only 3 legged, she had major problems traversing the snow with her one front leg. I am actually worried that she might break it and then where will we be??

Now I'm having to find her places to potty where 1) the snow isn't deep or 2) the melt off isn't going to wash her off her feet.
