I second that, but when you finally take a breather, we need details and pictures!!! Soak it all in, and then give us the scoop!

These pictures are fantastic! Has your daughter ever thought about becoming a photographer? I have never seen professional pics that looked this good. I am going to send my daughter the link to these pics. She is a photographer and I think she would like to see them.

What a beautiful wedding and I love the dresses. I can't imagine the work that went into them. They turned out beautiful! What a lovely day for all of you and I am so glad you had a wonderful time! Congrats to the newlyweds and kudos to all of you for making this day so special!

Kelly,

I've been going on the blog to see all the beautiful pictures. What a gorgeous bride and handsome groom they are. Noticed a picture of your son and your Mom. Which can only mean it worked out ok with taking your Mom.?? What a beautiful family you have. You must be so proud.

Give us more details when you can. And tell Amber to stop teasing with just a few pictures here and there!!

Jackie

Hello Jackie and all you kind, sweet ladies with such nice comments,

I am running out the door but just had to let you know that the grandmother with David was my husband's mother, not my mom. Mom was still in the psychiatric hospital, but more on that later. Must run, there are garage sales out there waiting for me!!!

I finally got to breathe last night, but was just too tired to write an update, will try later.

Take care all,

~Kelly~

Kelly,

No problem, take your time and have some much needed relaxation. Sorry about the mixup on Mom. I've seen pictures of your Mil before, and just always thought it was your Mom.

Have fun and get back to us when you have a chance.

Jackie

I'm so sorry I haven't written about the wedding, life is just crazy still, but I have had a few brief times of quiet rest.

The wedding was far more than I could of ever wished or dreamed of, a true joy. The day was a perfect temperature in the 60's, lovely clouds, mixed with blue sky, great for pictures. We have quite the photographers in our bunch, Sarah our good friend from Michigan was there and took 1,700 pictures throughout the 4 days, Keslie's 16 year old sister and then Amber and the photographer and his sisters from Texas took about 3,000. All of the pictures thus far have been from Keslie's sister, Amber and Sarah. They really are good.

The barn was incredibly lovely, simply but elegantly decorated, it was quite breathtaking. I was called for pictures, walked to the barn by myself and past the prettily decorated food tables. Around the corner walks my stunning son in his tux. I burst into tears and the photographer was right behind my son snapping pictures. David held me for a long time, it was so sweet. Then, when I was all composed my equally stunning husband walks around the corner in his tux. Ohhhh, I fell apart all over again.

My husband, Marc, performed the ceremony and said he couldn't watch Keslie walk up the aisle, he was so overcome. David was so handsome watching his bride for the first time that day, he had to wipe a tear away. All of my children were in the wedding so it was pretty emotional to look up there and see each of them. My husband sang the same song that he sang to me in our wedding, he did such a great job and had us all crying.

The reception was great fun with my nephew who was also a groomsman, MCing. David and Keslie prepared a gift to present to the couple at the wedding who has been married the longest. It was a couple married 56 years. My dad missed it by 2 years!! There was delicious lasagne, Ceasar salad, 2 different mini quiches and bread, it was all so wonderful.
We all do Civil War era and Regency era dancing so there was lots of that. We started off with the Grand March and had a huge line, it was so much fun. The wedding was at 3pm and the last of the dancers left around 10pm. David and Keslie left before 8. There were many hugs and tears before they left, it was so sweet to see the brother's and sister's hugging. There was a huge, long line of people from the barn to his car, so he picked up Keslie and ran the whole way with lavender flying. After he had put her in the car and got in himself, Keslie's mother and I jumped in the back seat and shut the doors!!! You should of seen their faces!!!!  We hugged them one last time, jumped out and off they went for their 3 weeks alone.

It was a day of tears, laughter, joy, celebration, fun, hugs, pictures, music, dancing, food, a first kiss, reverence, and a new family beginning. It was truly a joy to behold and we are so thankful.

Thanks for being interested in our special day and listening to me rambling,

~Kelly~

Oh Kelly, everything sounds like it turned out so wonderful. Tell Amber thanks for posting all those pictures on her blog. So very beautiful! Over 3000 pictures!! Thats more than a celebrity! It will take you years to go through all of those. But what wonderful memories for all of you.

Now, I have a question to ask you. Was the day of David and Kelsey's wedding their first kiss? It was mentioned on Ambers blog, and you made mention of that in this post. Hope you dont' mind me asking, but so very curious. Refreshing to hear something like that.

And where the heck do they go for three weeks? What a wonderful thing to be able to do to start their married life!! So nice to hear about others traditions in a marriage.

Have you heard from them? I know when my daughters got married, I asked that they call me at least once while on their honeymoon. Missed them so very much. Well, they must have missed their father and I too, as they called a few times. What a nice feeling.

So glad everything went well. Once the first wedding is over, you have gained experience for all the others you have coming up. And with your family, that will be many!!

jackie

Yes, Jackie, first kiss!

They flew to Pennsylvania on Monday after the wedding, have been touring Revolutionary and Civil War sites for 2 weeks, are in DC right now having a ball. They have called home because they are having so much fun they want to share their joy. When Keslie called home one day her 12 yr. old bro. took the phone and ran into the woods so he could talk uninterrupted!!!! They have taken almost a 1,000 pictures and have sent some back to us, too fun to see them having such a great time together. They arrive home Sunday but David has that week off of work so they are going to go camping and just enjoy one another. :D :D

Yep, can't wait for more weddings!!

~Kelly~

Kelly,

What a wonderful experience for them both to tour Revolutionary and civil war sites. How very interesting that must be. And so nice that they call to share all this with their families. So cute about Kelsie's brother wanting to be uninterrupted in conversation with his big sister. I hope Amber will share some of the pictures with us on her blog. Tell her all 1000 won't be necessary!! LOL

I know how wonderful it can be see your children start their married life with such fun and joy. Makes one's heart feel good.
And thanks for the new picture. So very romantic!

Jackie
