Lori made it here Tues. it was nice to finally get to meet her. Her GPS lead her down one of our better roads and all she could do was complain about it. These California people have no idea what a dirt road is. Two of my daughters and four dogs plus kids were all here so she met all of them.
Yesterday my son n law showed her what a road really looks like. I heard her talking to Jackie and she said that a road was anywhere that you could fit a car between two trees and the grass was a little shorter. I wasn't sure she was going to survive but she did.

Everyone is now gone and it is just the two of us so we came to town to use our computers and check in. You'll have to ask her about the town.

Oh that is very cool, Joyce! Yeah, she is not much of a Country-Bumpkin! Thank God, it didn't snow? She would have freaked! LOL!

I hope the weather is nice where you are, Joyce and Lori. It's been very muggy here in Jackson... to the point where DH finally admitted that it was miserable hot and turned on the A/C. Lori, when are you headed out with more traveling?

We sure don't need AC Deb. This morning it was about 35 when Lori went out for her cig. It's warmed up close to the 50's now so it should end up being a good day. The temp has been way below normal the whole time she's been here.

Did you read my post about getting together this week end. I have to head down state to pick up a couple of grandkids and thought it might be a nice chance to meet for lunch. Karen Lee said she would be there. I'm waiting to hear from Maebee and Howdy. Let me know if you think you can make it. We'll meet Sat. about noon at my house.

Mom said it was cold up there. LOL Tell Lori my Sis and I donned our warm gear many a morning, to go out for a smoke. Trying to contact you guys, but you must be galavanting. I'd love to meet Saturday!

Well I survived the freezing weather of "up north". I really had a wonderful time with Joyce. I have to admit though that I was sure glad to see paved roads again.

Can't wait for lunch today to meet you girls!

Lori has survived this long. She has now met all my family with the exception of my two sisters. At least she's met all those who mean the most to me. She even got to meet Bill's older brother and his wife. That was another story, better told in person

Today we plan on having lunch with Maebee, Mundee and Karen Lee. Maebee was going to try contacting Marcie Mouse and Howdy but I won't know if she had any success until everyone gets here. There will be five of us at least and I feel a little sorry for our waitress.

If Lori has enjoyed the last ten days as much as I, then I can say it's been a good ten days.

If anyone else is going through Mich, I just bought three new beds so I have plenty of sleeping room. Just give me a call and I'll put clean sheets on the bed. I think Lori is heading out tomorrow so her bed will be empty.

My next stop will be Chicago and I am looking forward to seeing everyone there.

I passed by your street last night, taking Hubby to the airport! I swear I have spent so much time in my vehicle lately, your beds sound great! I have to go back to the airport, though, and pick him up tonight. Tomorrow we visit "The Little One" at choir camp in Twin Lakes. Next week, "The Big One" heads out to Minnesota, "The Little One" will still be at camp, and Hubby at work....ahhhhhh....I cannot wait!!!!

I did hear from Howdy. She had to work today.

And Marcie, her Mom is in the hospital. I will fill you all in when I get there.

Lori, you are too funny! Joyce has some of the best dirt roads up there. Some of the roads down state are ten times worse than dirt. Speaking of roads, on our way home from the airport, Son 1 and I went by where that overpass collapsed on I-75. I was speechless. It was so surreal, even though the clean-up is going so quickly. I think I would have had nightmares, had I seen it earlier.
