Thank-You-Lori! :D Campingnana, wrote me today, and gave me her snail-mail addy, & phone # etc. We think she will mail me the squares, (I'll pay!) so I can identify them, and get a short 'bio' from you'll, before I send them off to New York. Josie needs to get them by Mid-Jan, if it is going to go on the tour, slated for late February. It will be tight, but I will try. This is the only photo I have, and I only recognise six, out of thirteen squares. When I get them, I will take & post a photo, and hopefully everyone can tell me whom each square belongs to.

In this photo I am pretty sure of:

1. My Mom
2. Nancy W's Dad, Russ
3. Stef's Nona
4. Lori's Helen
5. Joyce W.'s Mom "Winnie"
6. Connie's Mom, June

If any of you recognise any more of our Loved One's here, please send me a PM, or an E-Mail, and we can establish contact, for more info.

This is where they are going, and Josie will stitch them together for us also! www.alzquilt.org

Thank-You-Lori! If any of you are from the 'old' caregiver board, you will remember that Lori made the bulk of these squares, and know she did mine! I don't own a sewing machine! I think between Lori & I, we have identified 10 out of 13 of these squares. If so, I still need to ask all of you:

A) If you want your Loved One's square, to be part of this particular project, and if not, and I receive them all, I promise, I will 'snail-mail' your square back to you, and I will pay the postage, so no worries.

B) If you would like your quilt square sewn into the quilt, and to be displayed, I will need a certain amount of info:

1. Full Name or Names (some are couples)
2. Date of Birth-Death?
3. Where they were, or are still living?
4. A brief 'bio' of your Loved-One, as in, what were their favorite things, hobbies, what you will most remember, or admire them for?

I believe Josie will read out-loud, about every single square, or Loved-One, she is putting on display, during their unveiling.

So I have two more quilt square folks, that have found me, and both sent me their Loved One's Bio's. Mickie, from the 'old' board, and "Gidget" as well. So I have two Bio's, have indentified 10 squares, and am waiting patiently, for Campingnana, to mail them to me. The Bio's have their Loved One's photo on them, which will make it really easy for Josie, in case they get pulled from their quilt squares, during shipping. You can just E-Mail them to me, and I can print them out, on my end. (I actually have color, & black & white ink cartridges, in my printer right now!)

I am so happy to be doing this. It really helps me, around the death of my Father, some how?

I don't want to 'bug' her, over The Holidays.

Hey Sky! I sent a quilt square of my father but I don't see it in the above picture. It was sent to campingnana. Do you have all of them? i would like it with the other squares for a quilt. It would be a wonderful tribute to my father. Thanks, Cherie

I just went to check on "the old board" and Campingnana said she received mine on November 24,2007. Please let me know if you find it. I can send a pic of dad if that would help. Thanks for getting this up and running! :D

Yes, absloutely. Just because your square is not in this picture, does not mean that campingnana does not have it, in fact, I am sure she does. This was the only picture of many squares, I was able to salvage, from the old board, before they removed the ability to post pics. If you'd like to be included in this round, please send me an E-Mail, of your Dad's Bio, and a small picture of him on it, or with it, would be great!

Thanks! The more the merrier! And we are shooting for 20! :D

They are in-the-mail to me, right now. Once I get them, I will photograph them, and try to sort out, who is who. Sandie (camingnana) says they are all in their original packaging, and that they have descriptions? I am still collecting Bios, though, if you want a special one. Here is a brief note I received from Josie today. Boy, she sure is making this easy for us!

Hi -
I am just back from a week away. This all sounds great. When you are ready to ship everything, let me know and i will give you our FedEx number so that we pick up the tab on shipping.

I'll be back "on line" on the 5th. Heading off the radar for more R&R!

Happy New Year!

Josie

I'll go check the 'other' board, and see if anyone has responded.
