Thanks a lot Kelly. Now what am I going to do when Bob starts complaining about me. Whatever he complains about will have to all be just made up because I wouldn't do anything bad. Just ask Bob who his nicest SIL is. If I did say anything real bad, Bob, it wasn't me writing, it was Bill's caregiver. I only talked about siblings; you are just an " in-law" In-laws don't count, remember?

You don't have to tell them about the raccoon, Bob. We'll keep that as our own little secret. Let them imagine what they want.

You can call me if you want to know the scoop on anyone. If I don't know I can always make up a good story. I'll start with Kelly since she's the trouble maker. Always trying to cause problems. Now that the house is done she has extra time to do that.

Has Dad moved into his house Kelly? How is your mother doing? When is the baby due?

Welcome Bob. Us guys are severely outnumbered in the caregiving world, but there are a few of us around here. Discussions about equal opportunity don't seem to include this aspect of life. =-)

One of the best things I did in this process was make a conscious decision to look for help and suggestions early, long before I needed it. The folks here are invaluable, and having an idea of what is around the corner makes a huge difference.

Welcome Bob, I'm sorry you have need of this forum but since you do they are the best bunch of folks to help you out. I'm fairly new here too and I've already gotten so much help that it's making my life, and my mom's, much better.
I don't "know" Kelly very well yet but I think we had best stay on her good side. LOL

Yes, I guess I have too much time on my hands, is that why I feel like I'm in a hole but at least at the top and almost out! Mom is okay, there have been issues, but there always is, Dad is all moved in and we are so thankful to have him close, and baby is due mid June!! Thanks for asking Joyce, you are a dear.

Are you still in the painting process? I looked at the pictures of the house and it is a beautiful home. You should have a lot of wonderful memories to look forward to. The best one will come in June.
