Anyone have any new years resolutions?

I know this is dumb but I'm going to take the caregiver stress test at least once a week to keep tabs on my stress level. I think it might help me nip it in the bud before I get too stressed.

Just to do the best I can. Also have, always will. And ask God to help me face, and live through, thrive through, anything that comes my way, and to be of help to others.

I never was good at making resolutions.
I just want to make it through another year.

I honestly didn't give it a thought. I just know I want this to be a better year for all of us and so many others. This past year sucked on so many levels, much of it financially. It's a new year now and, I hope, an easier one:)

I'm not big on resolutions either but there is one thing I struggle with that I hope to resolve this year. I want to be at a place in my life where I always put the needs of others before my own needs. I have a long way to go in that department.

I didn't make any resolutions, but I have to say Lori, you have already accomplished that resolution long before this year!!

I hate to make resolutions, as I always break them, and then feel guilty for doing so. And right now guilt is one thing I don't need in my life right now.

My resolution is to get more education in regards to caring for ALZ patients.

That, and get a new dog-- which we did yesterday. It's the special needs Silky terrier (recently lost a foreleg after being attacked by the other dogs).

Now that I have her, I need to make a resolution to get her to understand that I mean business when I take her outside to DO her BUSINESS!

Deb,
When our daughter first got her dog, I watched it for a weekend. I would let her out to do her business and when she came in the first thing she would do was to pee on the floor. When I told my daughter this her reply way, "Did you tell her to go pee when you took her our?" Guess I forgot that part.
Maybe you have to just tell her to go.

I am glad you got a new dog. Three legs or four legs, they can get around fine.

Not to offend any one from Kentucky, but when our daughter lived there , she said there were three dogs on their block that had lost a leg. Thought maybe it was a requirement.

Kat, I have to say that trying to remember to take the caregiver stress test once a week would stress me out. I have enough other stuff to do!

My resolutions this year are to write a whole lot more and to learn more french and portuguese. Even so, I'm hoping to travel less. I saw 20 countries last year and I'm ready to stay still for a while...
