Haha, no definitely not in therapy, but I could probably use some with all the stressors in my life. I've actually been going to acupuncture from time to time, it's very relaxing. Has anyone heard of any alternative therapies or tried any with their ADLO? I have a huge book on alt. therapies, and there's a large chapter on AD.

I have an acquaintance who is a music therapist. She goes into nursing homes as well as schools and uses music to reach some of the individuals who don't seem to be responding to much else. Stroke patients, AD patients, ect. I have been meaning to pick her brain about what her approach is and the next time I see her, I am going to make a point in doing so. I will report back when I get more info.

Ok... add me to the list. You caught me. :) I've been checking up on all of you & your loved one's - praying & worrying every day that things have been the same. (Mrs. Lurker extraordinaire)!!! Please don't think less of me because you have truly weighed heavy on my heart & although I have followed your pain in 'relation' with my own... I have just been finding it difficult to breath lately!

It's a VERY long sob story which I don't wish to bore you with at this time. However, between my sweet heart of a mom - whom this HORRIBLE disease seems to cripple her every day with... along side my dad, who is always hanging on by a thread in his bad health... but add that to the list of my husband and myself!! Geez, that's exactly why i've had so little time, and so little me to spread around. And BELIEVE ME... what's left of me, I really don't think you'd like anymore!

Just wanted you to know that I'm still here... still lurking... still learning and still praying!!!

Thank you for all of your "life stories" that you continue to share with everyone!

Love,
bb girl
keep smiling

WONDERFUL to "see" you again, bb girl!
I'm so sorry everything has been so terribly hard lately.
Please don't hesitate to drop a word in now and then, when
you feel you can. You add to the treasure, no matter what
you feel otherwise!
Carol

Aitan, We went for over 3 years to an alternative MD who has an excellent reputation in our area. Mom had high levels of heavy metals in her body, we worked to get those out. Her oil levels were also very messed up, you know, omega 3 and 6 and more detailed than that. Worked on that too. It obviously didn't help my mom, much too late for her, but the Dr. helped my dad tremendously. He was pre-diabetic and all that is gone, blood pressure very normal now, weight down to normal....

BB girl, how the heck are you? Not too good from what you're saying. So very glad to hear from you. Please don't ever worry about boring us, we can take it!! lol

Seriously, it's really good to hear from you, but it sounds like you've really had so very much on your plate. We would never think less of you. You lurk as much as you want, but when you can, let us know how we might help too. And your input to us always is valuable. But I do understand about time. Seems like as soon as Mom takes her naps, or gets to bed, is the only time I have to sit here for awhile.

So we'll like you anyway we can get you. Come on when you can, we'll be waiting!

Stay well,
Jackie

OH, BY THE WAY, JUST 114 MORE TO GO!! COME ON LURKERS, COME BACK HERE AND TALK TO US. YOU SEE HOW WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER???

Marcie,

So nice to hear from you, especially at a time when Karen really needs our support. Come and check with us often, and let us know how you are and some updates.

Is that how many more days left in the year or how many caregivers we'd like to hear from again?

:D Honestly I'm lost lol!

Kat,

That's how many caregivers we have left to hear from out of the 140 registered members. And I'm not sure now if I lost count.

So come on caregivers, let us hear from you. We need to keep on going here, and without each other, we won't exist on here.

GO CAREGIVERS!!! AND COME BACK AND JOIN US FREQUENTLY!!!!

JACKIE

Kat,

Dense as fog? NO!! A worn out caregiver? You bet!

Boy the stories I could tell you about being dense as fog! I just keep blaming it on what Lori always tells me it is-Caregivers Dementia. God, what excuse will I use when Mom's gone. I know - "gee, I must not have enough to do"!

Jackie
