He is in a Hospice Hospital, just a mile or so away, from where I grew up. Don't ask me how, it wasn't easy, but I found him, and the nurse said he will be alive by Friday! Well, APS, and the Police were no help whatsoever, but late into the night, someone said I would have to go before a judge, and have him conserved, at bedside?? And, oh my god, yea sure, that is easy enough! Someone else said "Find out where he is, and go see him?" So I did, and I will! I got a little note from Mom today too, and bless her heart, she is worried about him too, so I asked her if she would like to see him, and she said she does. Gotta love that long term memory. He has dementia too! So that is uselful info??? EGAWD! I still think he will recognise us both, and was trying to figure out if any of his old friends are alive, because if not, it will be his New Wife (Nutcase!) her Daughter & Son-In-Law, & the Minister, for his funeral, pretty grim, if you ask me.

Thank You God! I almost didn't call this one, and ta da, there he is, and not in as horrible shape, like dead, or dying any minute, at least he may be able to hold out until Friday!

Wish us luck. His new wife is also VERY threatened by my Mom, she is just plan nuts, O.K?

SHHHESSHHH!!!

Of course, now am second-guessing myself, about bringing Mom? I was surprised to hear she was "Worried About Dad?" that was four days ago, when she wrote the note, and come to think of it, she sounded pretty clear tonight too? I guess I'll just play it by ear. I did tell her that it wouldn't be a pretty sight, and she did't seem to mind? Gosh, this frickin' disease, plays havoc with your mind, our minds!

Well Sky, if anyone could do it, I would have guessed it would have been you. Congratulations. When you go to see your dad, make sure you go in disguse just in case Evil step is there!!

Tell her your from the IRS, and your father owes so much in taxes, that she'll be getting nothing!

Anyhow, let us know when you get to see you dad, and good luck to you.

Jackie

You're so funny Jackie! I wish I could! I would have to get one of those 'made to look real' 007 masks, I'm afraid. I LOVE your idea about the IRS! Too funny! You know that is all she is worried about, and my Mom too (they were married for 50 years!) She might just faint, right there and then!

I'll keep you posted!

Good for you, Sky. I'm glad you found him and will be able to see him.

I'm not sure about Mom going. Guess it will depend on how she is when you get there.

I'll be talking to you.

Atta girl, Sky! Go see both your precious parents, even if you can't bring Mom with you to see Dad.

I'm praying that the evil step-outlaw is nowhere near Daddy when you do visit.

Thanks you guys, my cheering section! A childhood friend, well a guy that is my Sisters age, and was more her friend, went by to check it out. He said it was really swanky, and had a lovely garden area, dogs, and plenty of staff! He collected pamphlets, etc, acting like he was checking it out, for an elderly relative. He joked about going in as an IRS agent, with a tow-truck, as his vehicle! He made me laugh at least. The loose-lipped aid told me that my Dad has Dementia too? Oh boy, two for the price of one. What I thought was a bad combo of meds, wasn't, I guess it just struck him hard, & fast. I have another friend I might send by, she has a service dog, and he loves animals, so I think he would enjoy that. I am not so 'bent' on seeing him, as I was, especially if it will upset him. I am just so damn happy to know, that she did not tuck him into the cheapest dive in the area, so he must have 'some' money left. It is $6,000.00 per month! But everyone in there is in end-of-life. I guess if you live longer, they dont kick you out, but...I will try to post a link. My girlfriend said it was easily considered a five-star Hospice-Hospital, so that is good news too.

My thoughts about bringing Mom are this. If I could be sure the B*(*&^ wouldn't be there, I am sure she would be fine, especially if I went with her. But if there was any chance his wife could throw a hissy-fit, I wouldn't want my Mom exposed to that, so I think no, but we'll see.

I look for that link.

It look fantastic! The are very animal friendly! Watch the news clip about the Kangaroo, in Salt Lake City! I wonder how much Medicare pays? Pretty impressive.

Sky,
Well if a loved one has to be in a facility, that's the one to be in. I guess evil step is at least spending your fathers money on your father. Can't ask for much more than that knowing that he's comfortable and well taken care of. If I could afford to put my mother in something like that one day, I'd sure be thrilled.

So for now you'll have to just be thankful that he is being well taken care of, and decide everything else when you get there. You'll know what to do then.

Jackie
