Hi Guys,
Aitan very kindly created a new forum for us called
"Creative Outlet." Our Garden of Friendship is already
planted there in a place of honor. There is such a
wealth of creative talent on this board, from those of
you talented with graphics to those talented with words
and those whose imaginations and humor often run
rampant. Thought it would be nice to gather some of
that together in one spot.
E N J O Y :P ! ! !

I wish there was a way of bringing our town of Hope to this site. I guess it has all been wiped away by now.

Carol,
Sky and I thought last night that we lost it. We searched and searched and finally decided to go down a little further on the index. Ah-ha, there it was our "Garden of Friendship."

Thanks Aitan and Carol. Wonderful idea!!

Love,
Jackie

Why don't we start a new village here? I think we should change the name though.

Any suggestions?

Why not. I was cleaning out some old storage space and found DVDs with my dad on them. I can hardly wait to sit down and enjoy his healthy smile. :D

I love that, "Village of Hope..."
Someone want to start it up over in "Creative Outlet?"
I'm not familiar with the one you had going on the
other site. I'm sure there are enough people here
who are, though, so it shouldn't take long to "rebuild"
it...
Tracy, would you like the honor of "breaking ground?"
(The "Creative Outlet" forum is near the bottom of the
"Forum Index")
:D

Carol,
Our Hope town in the old forum was an imaginary place where the stress of care giving and the sadness of Alzheimer's could be left behind. Mum, our master of graphics had so many beautiful photos of cabins and cottages, lakes and beaches, everything one could dream of in a place where life was gentle and soothing.
Everyone picked a job that they could do in the imaginary place called Hope. We had thousands of hits on that little corner of the Alz. forum and it meant so much.
I guess one could call it guided imagery to picture a place where you could let your mind go and simply be.

Mum if you will be helping provide living quarters may I put in my order for an A frame near the beach? I'll bring my own lacy hammock to tie between two palm trees. A cold drink in one hand and a good book in the other. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh perfect.
One more thing...I'll be opening a stable near the beach and anyone can take a moonlight ride on a snow white prancing horse.

Deb, that sounds beautiful.
Between our Garden and our Village,
this will become quite a place of respite
for all who pause a while.
I'm looking forward to it...

As I read about this excellent idea I could feel the peace and serenity. It will be our Village of Hope with its very own labyrinth made from our threads. It will become our sanctuary, our spiritual rejuvenation home.

I searched and searched yesterday for the old town, but no luck at all. Funny, I had brought it ttt earlier this year. But you know what, I think a new town is in order. New site, new friends and so many caring people.

I'm moving to the new village with you all. just find me a porch swing somewhere with sunshine on my face...Aaaaaah, that's much better. Just what I needed.
