I may have posted this before but I come across it just now and felt it wouldn't hurt to post it again if I did.
I have no idea when it was written but it is always true.

MY BLANKET OF FAITH
Bill LaJoy

No need of splendid weave
Of camel hair or mink,
Nor richness of color, texture or hue.
Any old blanket that fits your bed
And covers you will do.

I could feel my blanket of faith
Tucked in and on all sides.
I felt safe and a trust in the lord.
Knowing He would be my guide.

My journey might be short
And end up in his arms.
Or, as I pray for much longer
With more of this world and its charms.

As long as I trust in my blanket of faith
And believe that God is with me
The rest of my life will have meaning
With a strong inner sense of peace.

Along with all the pains
And aches that bother me
I’m still aware of the good feelings
And know they’ll see me through.

And even if they fail,
The feelings under my blanket of faith
Will be with me
And prevail.

This is just a sample of Bill's inner side and his faith.

It's beautiful, Joyce. I think you should bring it, an read it in Chicago. Joyce Winslow, is considering catching up with us, and reading some of her's. Did Bill write this? Beautiful.

Here is Bill's square, he made it into our "Quilt Tour" or will! Lori, made it at the last minute, just before she hits the road, and then mailed it, and all the directions, to me.

There are three square spots left, on this particuar panel...so...if anyone is interested, please let me know by Private Message, or E-Mail. We have about eight weeks to get the completed squares, to Josie. They will 'finish' it for us again.

Thanks Sky.

yes Bill wrote this, I just don't know when. He has a scrapbook that Theresa put together with all his oil paintings and his poems. She did a beautiful job and it will be and is a great memory of her dad. I'll try to remember to bring it to Chicago.

Oh absolutely! I'd love t see it! Wow, he was talented too. I'd like for you to add something to his Bio, like the love of my life, we married when I was eighteen, something like that. And if you decided to add his relatives at another time, save their info for their own quilt squares. They will just keep adding & adding, so it is never too late.

Additions: Bill and I met when I was 18 and he was 32. We married one year later and would have celebrated our 47th anniversary July 7, 09. He was the person I knew would always be there for me. No one will ever take his place in my heart.

After retirement Bill took up oil painting and poetry, both of which he became very good. He loved the outdoors and all sports.

Forget the sib information I sent you earlier. Feel free to arrange the info in any order you think would be best

I've seen some of Bill's paintings and I can say that I'm wee bit jealous of his abilities. Mind you, I do my fair share of drawing, but painting is something I may never totally grasp as well as Bill had.

To Joyce. Yes, I like this. I will lose the Sib's info, and add this, instead.

I'll run the final Bio-Info by you, in an E-Mail, to be sure you like it. We have plenty of time.

Thank-You Joyce!
