Eileen,
I had to laugh when I read your post. So many times I put an SOS out to Moms hospice nurse. They would come out and by the time they got here, sometimes as little as two hours, it was like Mom never had a thing wrong with her. TAlk about feeling like a drama queen. Most of the time they really laughed it off and explained to me how typical that was for an AD patient.

Don't worry about loosing hospice. I was told that people have been on hospice as long as two years. I don't think its something that they just dismiss you from. I was never given a time period, and I don't think that with AD especially that they can do that. Remember one thing though, don't tell them too much how "great" he's doing some days. If they see that on the days they come, then fine, but if they ask about other days, don't go on too much. Say alot of "not goods" rather than "goods". Warn the others that are there also on the days the nurse or someone comes not to go on too much about the good days.

Keep in touch, and we're here.

Jackie
