been a couple of vry hard years on him and our 2 children.
thank god I have them or I am not sure what I would have done by now.
I look forward to reading posts and sharing life experiences with you all.

Welcome, Kathy. I hope you can find much comfort,
support, and friendship here. There is also a healthy
(actually quite silly) amount of humor and creativity.
If you haven't already, be sure to check out the
"Creative Outlet" at the bottom of the index.
Request your favorite flower in the "Garden of
Friendship" and visit our Hope Village, where you
can ask for a wonderful dreamhouse to be built just
for you and your family. If you have time, the
Creative Outlet threads are worth looking at from
the early postings on. I often go there and reread
them, as they are becoming like a wonderful fictional
fantasy, put together by our words, and some very
creative and talented members who can work miracles
with pictures and graphics. I find it a very calming,
restful place.
Again, welcome.
Carol

Okay.........I've had enough of the covert-tactics allowed to go on "over there". So, I've relocated to "here!" I've been surfing the site for a couple hours, and feel safe, so I'm coming out of hiding and joining my friends I've missed reading from. Looking forward to reading more from you all.

For those of you who don't know me: MIL is about stage 6ish. She's in a nursing home. Alz has made her very suspicious, paranoid and angry. She hallucinates often. We had hoped to have her move in with us to take care of her, but this disease is just shattering what we had hoped for. Grams is not the sweet, great-cooking grandma she had been. She's been replaced by a volatile, accusatory person.

I feel safe......I never would have said that "over there". Thank you for this site!

A lot of us have moved from the old neighborhood. Welcome aboard. Everyone just seems more free and friendly here.

Welcome Pal2pluto--and what a cool name.
I had my Daddy living with my 11 y.o. son and me for
3-4 months earlier this year, and his volatility (including
horrible cursing and anger at us) definitely contributed to
his now living in an ALf. So I guess I have an inkling
of what you are talking about. Be sure to visit
"Creative Outlet" for some respite, some laughs,
and some great pictures! Pick a flower for the
"Garden of Friendship" and someone will post it for
you (unless you happen to be one of the blessed ones
with a knack for computer graphics!). SkyGirl is
building houses made-to-order in Hope Village.
Come on in and get comfortable. We are so
happy you are here.
Carol

Welcome Kathy and Pal2Pluto!!! This really is a great forum where everyone seems to be very supportive of each other. I too am a person from the "other" forum that is disgusted by the goings on allowed there. Such a shame it is ongoing still. We are glad you are here!

Welcome Kathy and Paltopluto,
So glad you came here. You will find that our administrator is a very compassionate "caregiver". Yes, he actually does get it!
He, Lori and Carol have kept this a safe place for us. Whenever you have any questions, he's always on top of things, and answers you within days, if not many times hours. (And no stupid form letters) He even asks us for our help and suggestions too! Can't beat that. Oh Aitan, stop blushing.

Anyhow, welcome again.

Jackie
