I am so very disappointed. I told you all that I had a second interview on a job I wanted...well, I was offered the job. Sadly however, I had to decline. The pay package was not acceptable since I am raising my grandaughter, and would need child care, and the price of gas is high, and it is in the next town. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. On the flip side of that, I do believe the issue that made me want to leave my current job (sexual harrassment), is going to be addressed by next week sometime. I was told as much, but we will see. If they will take care of that, I just may keep my job. Thanks for the crossing of fingers though, I appreciate it. I need to remember when life gives me lemons, I need to make lemonade!

I'm sorry you had to turn down the job. Hopefully things will get straightened out where you are. It will just be a matter of what God's plan is for you now.

Dear Jane,
I LOVE lemonade!
And I do so hope you are able to make your current
place work out. Just keep a lawyer's name and contact
info very, very handy. And as someone earlier said
(sorry, I forgot who), keep smiling like you know
something they don't! I like that one... :D
Have a really, truely good weekend,
Carol

Jane, I firmly believe that sometimes we all need to be pushed out of the nest. I had a job I just loved. It was close to home, the hours were good, and I worked with a good friend. Then, the boss became the coldest, most insensitive jerk known to mankind. He cut my salary, became increasingly demanding, and the final straw came when he told me to choose between my job and my father's funeral. It was aweful. But, I started to look for work right after that. I found a really good job...even closer to home, with better hours, more flexible, more casual environment, with benefits, and the other guy...the jerk...cannot keep his office staffed. I have been at this better job for 6 1/2 years now. Had I not been pushed out of the nest, I would have been comfortable with mediocrity.

Good luck.

Thanks so much for the support, AGAIN! Chris you just might have an excellent point here! I am comfortable in my job, been there 9 years now. Maybe I need to be pushed out of the nest so to speak! I am continuing to apply for other posistions, so I am NOT giving up. If I am meant to stay there, it will be, if not, I will be given a job that meets my needs, and my grandchilds needs. I cannot beleieve a human being could be so cold as to say choose between your job, and a parents funeral! Hopefully some day, he will be held accountable for that. Gee, I wonder why he can't keep his business staffed! lol Same reason the Church I work for is losing members left and right!!!! DUH.

The "right" job will come along Jane dear, it really will.
