Today, as I was waiting for my Mom to have her re-ultra sound, I started talking to a lady in the waiting room. I was telling her about my Mom, and she was also telling me some things. We had such a nice conversation. When she finally got called for her appt., another lady a few seats over, came by me and asked if she could talk to me for a bit while waiting for her husband to finish a test.

She said that she overheard me tell the previous lady that my Mom had AD, and could she talk to me about it. Her father has AD, and also a host of other medical problems. I gave her a little advice, as we didn't have much time to talk. I knew Mom would be out shortly.

I wrote down this site for her, and told her to read all she could, and join us. She has no family except her children and husband.

I told her that there were some very experienced and caring people that she could count on here, and that all would help her as much as we all could.

What I would like to say is that if she's reading this, I'm the one you talked to at the hospital. Please come join us. You will not be sorry you did.

And one more thing. The hospital is approx. 30 minutes from my house. And guess what? We found out we live in the same town, and about 1/2 mile from one another!!

Divine Intervention???

Love,
Jackie

It was a Godsequence Jackie and you served as someone's earthly angel. Feel your wings and keep flying. You have much to offer others. Give freely and God will give you more than you can imagine. No, not necessarily the things of this world but oh the joy, peace, strength and courage He has for you. Just ask and you will receive.

We look forward to meeting another fellow caregiver. She is our sister in this journey so we will do all we can to walk beside her.

Blessings, my friend,
Ann

Ann,
Thank you for helping me to gain a little faith.
When you mentioned Angel, it reminded me of the same hospital about 10 years ago.

My Mom was having a colonoscopy. The doctor came out and said they found a tumor that was cancerous. I was by myself that day, as I expected the test to be completely routine.

I went outside to have a cry and a cigarette. Then that's when it happened. There was a hand on my shoulder. I looked to the left, and saw no one, then looked to the right, and there she was. A wonderful woman that as I turned to her, put her arms around me and asked if I was ok, and could she do something for me.

She was someone that worked at the hospital, and was coming out for a coffee break. She hugged me, asked me to tell her what was wrong, and gave me that cup of coffee she had for herself.

That day, I told her she would always be my special angel. I bought an Angel pin, and the next time I saw her, I gave her that pin, and a rose and told her I would never forget what she did for me that day.

In the ten years since, I have seen her everytime Mom or I have a test at that hospital. And I saw her today also. Godsequense? You bet!!

Jackie :o

That's a wonderful story Jackie, and you have allot to give. If I didn't know better, I would say you had a heart the size of Texas! I hope your new friend finds her way here too! :D

I am always amazed at how we get what we need. I think you were both blessed by your meeting. I really hope she makes it over here.

Things like this are meant to happen, sometimes you are in the right place at the right time, and they do.

I too hope this lady finds this forum. :)

You're a sweetheart, Jackie. Sounds to me as if this woman needed to talk to someone in the trenches. Blessings, friend.

Thanks for the uplift Jackie! Beautiful experience.
Everything happens for a reason. We never know when we will touch someone's life - or they will touch ours.

You were meant to be in that waiting room today for that lady....and your story about your hospital angel...she helped you, and today you have shown another person that they aren't alone.

:D
