A year ago today my mom was accepted into hospice. And so my countdown begins.

I also cleaned out her dresser drawers today. I was doing okay until I ran across a t-shirt I had bought her for Mother's Day, 2006. The tears have been flowing ever since. Ah well, I didn't expect it to be easy.

This has been a really rough day.

Please know we do understand how much this stuff hurts. Tomorrow is my mother's birthday and it is the first one since her death. Although it isn't really a countdown, it is a mark of time and I remember what we were doing this time last year.

Wish I was there to help you clean out the reminders. I would cry with you. For now, I send my hugs and know you are in my thoughts. (((((Hugs)))))
