Thanks Maebee. I just tried to post a LONG explaination (lost it into Cyber-Ville?) about why I can't move closer to Mom, if I could have, I would have never left. Suffice it to say look up "The Palo Alto Weekly" on-line, and check out the rental prices! This is where Google Corp is, where "APPLE' was born, and where William Hewlitt & Jim Packard lived, unti they died. H/P! You really must be a muti-millionaire to live there, period. Unless you bought your house, 50 years ago, like both my Mom & Tom, and my Dad did. Then you just got rich, from the increase in value of your home. Mom & Dad paid $24,000.00 for the house I grew up in. Five bedrooms, four baths, on just shy of an acre. They sold it, the day after my Dad married his new....Bride....for nearly one Million Dollars, and yes, she got 1/2 of that, we got *Zip*

I LOVE The Bay area, it is what I am used to, where I grew up, and have life-long friends, that I miss like mad, but there is just no way for me to return. I could move in with Mom & Tom, (believe it or not, I am actually considering it) but ONLY if I could get HPOA, for Mom, because I could not bare to watch her, daily decline, and not be able to do a darn thing about it, like get her to an appropriate Doctor, and I can't imagine how I could get my Sister, fired. She "IS" a Doctor, (not neccesarily a good one, or a good daughter) but it gives her an amazing amount of clout.
