You have them. Please let us know, once things settle down. Just because she wants to go, doesn't mean she will. but keep us posted, O.K? O.K.

SHE'S OKAY!

It was a TIA, CAT scan showed. ER Doc said tomorrow's MRI will likely show more and GP will probably start her on Cumidin (sp?) or something of that sort. I'll keep the scheduled tests and follow-ups. So, we'll see.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. I truly felt you with me today. It was a long ER wait. Mom napped and I just couldn't keep my eyes off her. I thought of all of us, sitting, watching our LOs. I cried yet it was a good feeling not being so alone.

Today, her symptoms were like none of the others. She started sweating, was white as a sheet, head shaking slightly, but said she couldn't feel her hands. And not really slurring, but slowly kept saying I'm dying, I'm going to go, I'm going to go. Then it was like her face and body went flat. She was really out of it. But by the time the ambulance got here she was more "awake." None of these symptoms are the same! And the change is so fast! One minute I think she IS dying and the next she's talking. I don't get it!

Funny though, the EMT was the same guy from Thursday! He headed straight to her room and said, "Get her meds list and her cards, we've got her." That's when I jumped on here. I've never typed so fast in my life! I'm glad you are here.

So, we're okay for tonight, I hope. But we'll see what the week holds. I don't think I can handle any more of these scares!

I'm so exhausted. I'm going straight to bed.

Thank you all so much for getting me through all this!!!!!!!!!

Love,
Sam

Oh I'm so glad she is OK. I know you just must have been frantic. Have you got a plan for how you are going handle the MRI?

Such good news! We never know how these things will turn out, and you are right, this disease is COMPLETELY unpredicatable. If it makes you feel any better, I have watched my Mom's husband, have a stroke, right in the kitchen. He just holds on to the counter, until it passes, and I said "Tom! Are You O.K?" and when he can finally talk, he says "Yes, just same old, same old" And he is the one that still does all the driving? 88! Yup, just takes a lickin; and keeps on tickin'!

Your EMT's sound fantastic! It makes me feel better to know, that they know just what to do.

Wow, Sky, guess Mom and I both just need to toughen up, huh! These lickin's are whoopin me.

Lori, yeah, I was frantic. One after another after another. Ahhh.

I'm going to call the doctor first thing this morning and see what she suggests. I definitely know the afternoon time won't work. No way. If we have to reschedule anyway, maybe I could experiment with some kind of sedation med to see how if effects her before we go. When Mom was in the hospital a few years ago, they gave her Xanax and she was climbing the walls. It was like some kind of speed with her. Mom tends to be on the hyper side anyway. Maybe she just fights it all.

Maybe one for her, one for me! Sounds good. ha

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again everybody!

Can you send me one sames u?

I'm so relieved your mother is doing better. This was the first place I come this morning. Just had to see how she and you were doing.

I'm still keeping you both in my prayers.

Dear Sames U,

I'm glad that you know what the episode was caused by. You and everyone on this board are continually in my prayers.

Keep on keeping on, girlfriend!

That's a good idea Same U, to experiment with the meds first. Especially if Mom is having that adverse reaction, which is pretty common, beieve it or not. I had to be heavily sedated for an MRI once, because I was in too much pain, and as much as I tried to stay still, my muscles just couldn't. They put me on such a strong cocktail, they wouldn't let me drive or walk. It was only about 1/2 mile away! So, I took a cab!

I banged my head on the Cab door, while getting out, so, they REALLY worked! Maybe a muscle relaxer, instead of an actual sedative. And ya, one for you too!

P.S. Ask Aitan, our resident M.D. in the making!

Hey SamesU, glad to hear this scare wasn't too serious, but happy she was diagnosed with a TIA now so that at least she can get on some meds to prevent any G-d forbid future events. When you visit the GP please ask if the Seroquel may be causing these TIAs or if this is a vascular problem. I have suspicions with this Seroquel drug. My grandmother already had 2 seizures with unknown etiology.
