This is how I spent a few early morning minutes today. This is in my back yard and this is SAM the SNOWMAN sitting proudly - all 10 inches of him - on the deck bench.

I know for you Northerners and even some Texans "up north and west from here" this isn't snow like y'all get, but just FYI, living about 90 miles north of Houston - well, this is very unusual although just another 90 or so miles north of here in Waco it's not that unusual. I mean I was just wearing shorts, a short sleeve t-shirt, and sandals yesterday!

I wish I had your problem. We don't have any snow right now. It rained all day yesterday, wet snow last night and clear and sunny today. If I could I would gladly sent you all the snow we'll be getting between now and April. You have to pay shipping because I just spent all my money for Christmas presents today.

Sam has the sweetest face I've ever seen on a snowman!

It probably isn't even real snow howdy. You know how them Texans always want to be like us Michiganders.

You know they're not real smart or they wouldn't think having snow was so great. Maybe they would like some of our freezing rain, also.
How about it Joyce, do you want our ice, too

Mr. Snowman is cute though. For someone who doesn't get a lot of practice, you did a good job.

I was just going to say that ... preatty good snowman ... for a Texan
Sam's alittle skinny - send him up here and we'll fatten him up - quick!
We had rain and then snow so I was shoveling some wonderful heavy, crusty stuff for an hour today.
Good workout though.
Take it easy and keep on truckin'.

Joyce,

Cute snowman, but I have to agree, he needs to be fattened up a bit. But hey, for a Texan, its actually pretty good. I can't believe there was snow in Texas. Now if it would just snow in CA by Lori, it would make my day!!!

Lore,

You can make a sandman.
If you do would you send him to me. I haven't been sleeping and I think the sandman should come visit me.

Joyce,

A sandman? Are you kidding?? It's down to the 50's where Lori is. No way she's gonna go out to build anything. She's freezing!! (She's such a wimp!)

Who you calling a wimp, Jackie?

Go ahead and laugh at me, but while you all are building snowmen, shoveling snow and worried about pipes freezing, I am enjoying sunny California. Our highs right now are right around 70. Eat your hearts out. 8)

Eileen,

Wasn't this just wonderful today with the sun shinning and 19 degrees? Felt like we were in CA with Lori huh?

I hate this cold weather!

Well this is just cruel! It is suppose to be 50-below-zero tomorrow, with wind chill, and they are saying to stay in, how to avoid frost-bite, don't travel??? I just wanted (and needed!) to go to Church??!!? Or another important event. I may just stay home, snug as a bug, in a rug.

Yea, cute snowman! LOL!

Seems like Sky wins the contest so far for having the coldest weather. And Eileen and I complained about 19 degrees!!!

Looks like we're having CA weather compared to what she has!
