I am still here-just been really busy-the month of April was crazy-my husband had chest pains on March 29th. He called a cab & went to the ER-they took him to Cardiac Cath and ended up putting five stents in his heart. We are now eating a whole lot healthier than I have ever eaten. Am learning how to cook without salt and using seasonings I have never used.

I'm glad everything worked out ok Pat.

Two years before Bill had his heart attack, we ate nothing but fish and chicken. I ate so much fish and chicken, I felt like I cold swim in the ocean wearing a down filled coat.

After his attack, he decided, "Well that didn't work" and we went back to eating red meat. I'm not telling you to change your new eating habits. We still ate health diets. I have never used a lot of salt when I cooked and you never found a salt shaker on my table at meal time unless we had company and they ask for it.

The salt shaker was the first change made after we got married. When I'd cook, the first thing Bill would do was to dump salt on his food before even tasting it. I told him the least he could do was to taste it first. After that thae shaker sort of dissappeared.

You'll be amazed how quickly you adjust to less salt.

Hay all,
I'm back, had a long nap, and am waiting for dinner. "The Little One" and Hubby had kabobs on the grill last night, but I couldn't eat :( , so he cooked me one for tonight!

All clear from the doctor!!Yaaaaay!!! NO polyps this time, just some diverticulosis, which I knew about. 5 years until the next one. WOO HOO!

Has anyone noticed, when they are questioning about medical conditions, surgeries, allergies, etc., they slip in, "Are you being abused by anyone, and would you like to talk about it"????? It caught me by surprise. I do know that ALL of the bathrooms have a domestic abuse poster, with contact cards attached. Real good for those that are afraid.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!!

Pat, I'm glad, too, that all is well. I just tried a new recipe for "Lemon Chicken and Bow tie Pasta, the other night. I'll get it, and post it later, if you want.

YIPEEEE

Those five years go fast Maebee.

I haven't had a doctor ask me that yet. Maybe you looked like the abused type. What ever that is.
You didn't look like someone who would be abused when we had lunch.

Oh Pat, that must have been really scary. I hope hubby is doing ok now.

Maebee, I'm so glad to hear that everything was good with your test. I have never been asked that question though. Hmmm. ;)

Come to think of it, I probably DID look like crap. Liquids only, Sunday. Nothing to eat or drink from midnight on. No make-up. No cigarette or coffee....probably kinda scary!!!

But didn't it feel good to just lay there and sleep?

That sounds like me every day. Never eat or drink after midnight because I'm asleep, don't drink coffee or smoke and Ihave to look for my make-up if I want to wear it.. And I always look kind of scary.

Maybe you're my unknown sister.
